Seminar Description:
Join Mass Senior Care at our annual life safety workshop. This year’s program will include a review of the top deficiencies related to life safety code and emergency preparedness, and DPH will share additional information on CMS’ interpretation on generator requirements. The program will review the development and implementation of a compliant annual fire door inspection program, as well as discuss fire and smoke barriers. In addition, new concerns and challenges related to lithium-ion batteries used in nursing facility equipment and devices and best practices for use, storage, and maintenance will be reviewed.
Objectives:
- Understand the current top LSC deficiencies cited by MA LSC surveyors.
- Identify key components to a compliant annual fire door inspection program.
- Identify best practices for use, storage and maintenance of lithium-ion batteries used in nursing facility equipment and devices.
