Complying with OSHA’s Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS)

Webinar Description:

For the first time in 50 years the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS) to address exposure to COVID-19 to workers in health care settings. Although temporary, the standard will be enforced effective July 6, 2021, and fully enforced on July 21, 2021.  The standard mandates that all applicable healthcare facilities have a COVID-19 Plan that includes items such as a COVID-19 Safety Coordinator and a workplace specific hazard assessment. 

Mass Senior Care will host a webinar presented by the OSHA Consultation Program to review the components of the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standards and provide nursing facilities with tools and resources to assist in complying with these standards.  

Objectives:

  • Identify components required in the OSHA COVID-19 plan
  • Understand the workplace hazard analysis assessment
  • Identify tools and resources to assist in complying with the OSHA ETS.

Administrators, DONs,  Infection Control Staff, Facilities Staff

Contact Hours/Continuing Education Credit:

1.5 CEU will be awarded for nurses and nursing home administrators. The Massachusetts Senior Care Association has qualified for “deemed status #NH-09015-007” from the Board of Registration of Nursing Home Administrators. This program also meets continuing education requirements for Nurses in Massachusetts.
