Program Description:
Join Mass Senior Care in our annual life safety workshop. This year’s annual program will focus on expectations regarding the inspection, testing and maintenance of required systems such as sprinklers, fire panels, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, doors, etc. The program will include discussion on the concerns and challenges related to lithium-ion batteries used in nursing facility equipment and devices and best practices for use, storage, and maintenance. In addition, the Department of Public Health will review the top life safety code deficiencies and CMS’ current focus.
Objectives:
• Understand the requirements related to routine inspections, testing & maintenance.
• Understand the current top 10 LSC deficiencies cited by MA LSC surveyors.
• Identify best practices for use, storage and maintenance of lithium-ion batteries used in nursing facility equipment and devices.

2.0 CEU will be awarded for nurses and nursing home administrators. The Massachusetts Senior Care Association has qualified for “deemed status #NH-09015-007” from the Board of Registration of Nursing Home Administrators. This program also meets continuing education requirements for Nurses in Massachusetts. All paid registrants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Cancellation Policy:
Mass Senior Care must be notified in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the seminar for a credit of equal amount to be issued to your Mass Senior Care account. No refunds will be given. “No Show” attendees will be billed at the full registration fee. Cancellations should be emailed to info@maseniorcare.org.
