As we await CMS’ adoption of the NFPA 2012 Life Safety Code, facilities must continue to prevent, identify and correct safety issues that exist and cause issues within their facilities.  The percent of facilities that have deficiency free LSC surveys has decreased from 62% in 2013 to 40% in 2015. This year, we will again review the top life safety code deficiencies cited in Massachusetts and how these deficiencies relate to the safety of your residents.  This workshop will look deeper into deficiencies that are fire safety related and specifically discuss fire procedures and automatic sprinkler systems.
