At the June 13th Board of Registration in Nursing (Board) meeting, the Board revised Advisory Ruling (AR) 0801: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Long-Term Care Facilities to clarify and ensure compliance with current statutes, regulations and scope of practice standards. AR 0801 guides the decision making of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation when a patient in a health care setting has been found unresponsive.
