On July 30, 2025, CMS issued revisions to QSO 25-23-ALL Guidance for the Expiration of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE). The revisions include the suspension of focused infection control surveys as part of the standard survey process. Any COVID-19 or infection control concerns should be conducted through complaint investigations outside of the Long-Term Care Survey Process.
