Seminar Description:

Currently there are many shooting stars in the Five-Star system but get ready Massachusetts for some falling stars! The transition to CMI Medicaid reimbursement comes with a few challenges, namely a lowering of your Staffing and Quality measure Five-Star Domain Scores. In addition, we have a new staffing case-mix adjustment methodology being unveiled this July, and several QMs transitioning in and out of the Quality Measure Domain. Let’s learn together how to mitigate as many of these potential consequences and potentially catch a few additional stars!

1. Define the upcoming changes to the Five-Star system
2. Anticipate how transition to Medicaid CMI will impact staffing and quality measure domains
3. Describe strategies for Five-Star success that can be deployed immediately
