  • EOHHS Issues Proposed Revised Temporary Nursing Services (TNS) Regulation
January 4, 2018

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) last week issued proposed revised rates for services provided by temporary nursing to licensed hospitals and nursing facilities  -- 101 CMR 345/Temporary Nursing Services. The proposed amendments would establish the rate limits for temporary nursing agency services for each geographic region as purchased by hospitals and nursing facilities effective May 1, 2018. EOHHS estimates that the proposed rate limits—if all purchasers utilized the maximum rate—will result in an increase of approximately 2.2%.

EOHHS has scheduled a public hearing at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, in the First Floor Conference Room, 100 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02171, relative to the adoption of the proposed TNS amendments. Individuals may also submit written testimony by e-mailing ehs-regulations@state.ma.us. Please submit electronic testimony as an attached Word document or as text within the body of the e-mail with the name of the regulation in the subject line. All submissions must include the sender’s full name, mailing address, and organization or affiliation, if any. Written testimony must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
